- Recognize risks related to consent, privacy, and bias
- Maintain a human-centered approach to decision-making
- Integrate new technologies without compromising ethical standards

AI is already being used in areas such as:
- Clinical documentation and workflow support
- Predictive analytics and risk identification
- Tools designed to assist caregivers and improve quality of life
At the same time, these tools introduce important ethical considerations particularly when working with older adults and individuals with cognitive impairment.
Approved for 1.0 ethics CEU for social workers through the LSU School of Social Work.

The Dementia Caregiver Support Program offers support groups and education on Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. These events are targeted toward family caregivers, but are open to professionals or anyone who wants to learn more about dementia.
